About the Mindfulness Course With Susie
Join the next MBSR (mindful- based stress reduction) course in Jeruslaem and learn to reduce stress and quiet your busy and anxious mind. We live most of our lives on automatic pilot and we multi-task without paying attention to what we are doing. Our busy day to day routine can make us stressed and we are very often not "present." There is so much in our external environment to pull us away from the present moment —daily stressors, phone calls, security concerns, multiple family and work responsibilities —that we spend a good part of our day on the train of thought without even realizing we ever boarded it.
Mindfulness is paying attention to the present moment with openness and curiosity and learning to accept what is.
In the MBSR course you will learn skills that can enhance your ability to:
-
Cope with stress, manage pain, and increase resilience in difficult times
-
Learn with a certified MBSR teacher and psychotherapist
-
Improve sleep and focus
-
Regulate mood and improve relationships
-
Be fully present and alive in the present moment
In mindfulness, we practice being more aware and present in a gentle and accepting way.
In the course we will learn various mindfulness practices with explanations and guiding, such as breathing, body scan, mindful movement, mindful eating, mindful listening, self-compassion, and informal practices to help make mindfulness a part of your daily life. (see course schedule below).
The course will take place on Tuesday evenings in French Hill.
Maximum participation is 8-10 people.
